A Vienna tech company for legal practice.
IURIX was founded in Vienna in April 2026. We build tools that put artificial intelligence to work where it delivers — opening up vast bodies of law quickly. Not inventing content.
Our position
Everyday legal work pits two demands against each other: reaching a reliable result quickly, and being able to trust every statement. General-purpose AI tools solve the first but fail at the second — they generate convincingly worded but unverifiable content. We build the opposite: tools that only say what they can substantiate.
The product family
RICI (available) searches the Austrian and European legal corpus from official sources — federal law, state law, case law, legislative materials, Findok, collective agreements, EU legislation (EUR-Lex), as well as EU and ECtHR case law. The next building blocks are already in preparation: RITA for structured register data (Austrian Company Register, ÖNACE, Land Register) and FIRE for web-based research beyond the legal corpus.

Christian Haberl, MSc
Co-Founder & Managing Director
Christian has worked in the IT industry since 1999 — first as a trainer and lecturer, from 2002 with a focus on online marketing, and from 2008 in social media consulting. In 2012 he founded the Vienna agency HUMANBRAND, which he still leads as owner and CEO. At IURIX he combines 25 years of tech and consulting experience with building AI-powered research tools for law and tax.
Mag. Arnulf Schaunig
Co-Founder & Managing Director
Business lawyer holding a Mag. iur. from the University of Vienna (2019). After stations at mid-sized and large Vienna law firms, he passed the bar examination in 2023 and has run his own law firm in Vienna since September 2024. Focus areas: corporate law, company sales & M&A, dispute resolution, inheritance law, restructuring, real estate law.
